The most common reason for failure to meet AMS targets is lack of master cylinder capacity. As pad compressibility
increases and rear drums expand with temperature, and higher pressures are required as the friction materials fade,
the master cylinder will commonly bottom out in later stops. Traditional calculations for master cylinder stroke need
to be revised to account for hot pad compressibility (500ºC) and rear drum expansion (350ºC).
