AbstractObjective to investigate mycoplasma pneumonia (MP) pharyngeal swab rapid liquid culture method, pharyngeal swab polymerase chain reaction (PCR) method and serum MP Passive Agglutination Method (AB) method in children with MP infection diagnosis treatment sensitivity method using 3MP detection method for 362 cases of clinically suspected call respiratory tract (non bacterial infection in children with throat swabs and serum samples were studied by matched, every children take throat swab rapid culture and PCR, and serum AB detection, the detection results of the three methods and clinical diagnosis cases were retrospective analysis. Results 152 cases of children with MP infection were reviewed retrospectively. MP rapid culture assay for detection of 78 cases were positive, the positive rate was 51.3%, duration (4.5 + 2.6 days; PCR method for the detection of the 103 cases were positive, the positive rate was 67.8%, duration (6.2 + 3.5 days; AB was detected out of 127 cases were positive, positive rate was 83.5%, duration of 8.1 + 4.5 days. Conclusion the sensitivity of the 3 MP detection methods is related to the course of the disease, clinicians should choose the detection method according to the course of disease, in order to improve the positive detection rate and sensitivity.Key words Mycoplasma pneumoniae, rapid culture method, throat swab polymerase chain reaction, serum antibody, paired study
