This article is organized as follows. A linear model of the
wireless power transmission system incorporating all the distributed
parameters of the transmitter and receiver coils for
helical solenoid geometry is presented in Section 2. The computation
of the parameter values are described in Section 3. A
two-port model for measurement of power transfer efficiency
of the system is presented in Section 4. Section 5 discusses the
experimental system constructed using Litz conductors for the
transmitter coil and receiving coil; this section also includes a
comparison of the proposed model with other inductively coupled
models relative to distance between the coils. Conclusions
are given in Section 6.
