In an Eleventh Circuit case, an officer called for canine backup because he saw tracks leading away
from a store that had been burglarized. The dog went into nearby woods where, after about 20 minutes,
the dog found a suspect hiding in a canal. The suspect said he had been drinking and hid because he was
violating parole terms. The canine officer directed the suspect to lie down or he would release the dog
on him. Plaintiff testified that the officer ordered the dog to attack him even though he did lie down
