First Time Freshmen Only
Residence Hall
All admitted first-time freshmen who graduated from a high school outside a 30 mile radius of SJSU are required to live on campus for their first year. Mandatory Meal Plans
Meal Plans are mandatory for all First Time Frosh and all residents living in The Suites. Housing rates will vary depending on the meal plan chosen. Meal Plans selection is part of the Housing Application process, please select your meal plan as you are completing your Housing Application. CV2 Rendering
Campus Village Building 2 (CV2), is a 10 story residence hall houses 850 first year students and has an open community design which is equipped with common study rooms, lounges, multi-purpose rooms, a recreation space and other student support spaces to ensure a smooth transition to college life.
Typical layout
Double Rooms
All bedrooms are double occupancy and are designed and furnished for 2 people. Housing rent includes basic utilities, Wi-Fi internet access and cable TV. All residents of Campus Village 2 must purchase a membership meal plan. Double occupancy rooms have one set of twin, extra long beds, which can either be bunked or separated. Please note that beds are not furnished with pillows, blanket, or other linen.
Room Furnishings
Double occupancy rooms are furnished with two of each of the following, (one of each for single rooms): extra long twin beds, desks, chairs, dressers, bookshelves, and closets. Each room includes one towel rack, wastebasket, and paper recycling bin. Floors are carpeted, and windows are furnished with blinds.
Amenities
Campus Village is located on the south-east corner of campus and is a short walking distance to classes and Downtown San José. Included in Campus Village is the Village Market which offers pizza, coffee, ice cream, and drinks. Campus Village also offers cable television, a high speed internet connection with wireless service in the first floor RAC, and an on-site laundry facility. The Resident Activity Center (RAC) includes a gaming area with air hockey, ping pong, and pool. The RAC also has 4 meeting rooms which include a DVD player so you can watch the latest movies with your friends and classmates. Although it is located in Campus Village, The RAC is open to residents from all buildings.
Parking
Campus Village features two levels of limited underground parking for students, and bicycle racks on either side of Building B. For more information regarding Campus Village parking as well as other campus parking options please visit our parking information page.
