Various catalysts have been therefore developed to lower the energy barrier required for OER and thus the driving voltage of water electrolysis. Although it is already commonly acknowledged that catalysts based on the noble metalsIr or Ru can demonstrateoutstanding catalytic activity for OER, their large-scaleuse is severelyconstrained by low OER stability and their scarcity [6,7]. Designing non-precious metal catalysts with exceptional OER catalytic activity and stability is therefore crucial.
