Thus, the current study employed an experimental paradigm for study- ing biological stress responses in a relatively naturalistic manner. The validation of this paradigm is an important methodological contribution that will facilitate the study of other biological correlates of co-rumination as well as the study of biological correlates of other support strategies that friends use to help one another deal with personal and salient life stressors.
