Fig. 3 shows the phase map of each material. In the Figure, the red-color-area shows where austenitic phase (γ phase) is prevailing, while the green-color-area shows where ferritic phase (α phase) is prevailing. Here, it is noted that only by EBSD analysis we cannot distinguish the α phase from the so-called α' phase (strain-induced martensitic phase). In general, austenitic stainless steel is said to transform to martensitic when strain is applied [14].
