The coexistence of elastic material

The coexistence of elastic material
with plastic material in the pseudo-dynamic method is to
be justified. Furthermore, the deterioration (or damping) of
seismic waves under deformed slope condition and/or
under the existence of internal shear planes as that
incorporated in the sliding-block theory proposed by
Newmark (1965) is not taken into account in the pseudodynamic
approach.
