It’s incredible that there’s never been a perfect score in a sport that dates back to the fifteenth century. Millions of players have come and gone. In recent decades especially, professional golfing has become a global interest. Parents now raise their children from a very young age to become golfers with aspirations of joining the PGA Tour and making a name for themselves. Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Annika Sorenstam are all household names with many wins under their belts, and yet none has been able to shoot a perfect score. When interviewed after a personal best round, they are always able to say, “Well if I had made that eight-footer on the seventh hole, I would have shot one better.”
