Himeji Castle is a Japanese castle. Located in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture is one of the oldest buildings to survive during the Second World War and the great earthquake. 2538 Himeji Castle is recognized as a UNESCO the UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 2536 is considered one of the 3 most beautiful castles in Japan, Matsumoto Castle and Kumamoto Castle, and is also the most visited castle in Japan. Japan is called the "white Stork" or "Hamhcho", which is derived from the external castle surface which is bright white. Himeji Castle is currently registered as a national treasure of Japan and a World heritage site.
