The summary RR of BTC for the highest versus lowest category of coffee consumption was 0.83,95% CI: 0.64, 1.08, with no evidence of heterogeneity I2 = 0%, p = 0.58 (Figure 2). No publication bias was found after visual inspection of funnel plot (Figure S1). The pooled estimations were RR = 0.84,95% CI: 0.61, 1.15; I2 = 22%, p = 0.27 for prospective cohort studies, and RR = 0.74, 95% CI: 0.34, 1.63; I2= 0%, p = 0.82 for case-control studies (Figure 2). The subgroup analysis was not performed due to the limited number of studies eligible for the meta-analysis.
