Production Over Runs and Liquidations

All over run products not re-listed for sale, as well as irregular product situations, must be referred to the Mary Ann Bradford in the L.L.Bean Corporate Liquidations Department for disposition. This may mean that L.L.Bean will purchase the goods, recommend a third party liquidator, or approve a sale to a third party liquidator if adherence to L.L.Bean policies have been met.

Vendors shall not sell either at retail or wholesale, or otherwise transfer to third party merchandise which bears L.L.Bean labels, trademarks, logos or designs; unless such distinctive identification marks have been completely removed. However, second quality merchandise shipped to L.L.Bean per the Corporate Liquidations Department must conform to all labeling requirements (with tags intact and not defaced).

Disposition of excess Raw Materials

Excess raw material, exclusive to L.L.Bean and purchased to meet production requirements, will be handled as follows:
•Buyers will gather information from Vendors twice a year (April and October)
•This is forwarded to the L.L. Bean Merchandising team for disposition
•Disposition will be communicated to Vendor by the Buyer or Sourcing.
