You should apply for whichever programme interests you most and fits in best with your future career plans. The MA Translating & Interpreting programme is a taught Masters programme and is at the same level you have already studied at. Also because you are studying translation at the moment there may be areas of overlap with what you have already studied. A PhD is a fully research-based programme, so this would be a suitable course if you would like to conduct research. If you are considering a PhD you should look at the current research being carried out staff in the School of Modern Languages:
