The only reason for the chamfered ground ring is that it was based on the existing ASE design for AQFN68 with 2 sided L-shaped ground ring.

I do not have a preference so long as it is practical and functional. Since you prefer the right angle corners, I agree to that and I will update

the design from my side to match that one.
