Dear Tony,

I was hoping you could help me with an enquiry.

I am the outerwear designer on the BHS account for girlswear, and I am currently developing AW15 fur coats.

We are sampling inhouse and a common problem we are experiencing is the hem kicking out once a zip has been inserted.


Our pattern cutter has advised sourcing a softer zip tape, similar to the photo below.



However, I have only seen this on a coil zip. Could you advise if it is possible on a vislon or metal zip?

If so, could you advise a reference I can ask our factory to source from you as they are struggling at the moment with this.
