We will illustrate the application of the preallocation concept in retrospective and contemporaneous modes. The as-planned and the as-built schedules are shown in Figs. 5 and 6, respectively. As shown in Fig. 6, the contractor delaysActivities J and N by 8 and 7 days, respectively. The owner delays Activity O by 5 days. The net effect of these delays is a delay of 5 days to the project completion.
