5.2 Selecting the teams
Carts and Horses can be used to mirror the interaction between teams in the work place. Therefore if the participants come from two or three work areas you can replicate the work situation by putting them into their normal work groups. Selecting the teams in this way increases ‘reality’ but may instil inappropriate competition between the teams (the success of each team is totally dependent on the success of the others). If it is inappropriate or not possible to use work teams as the basis for selection, select balanced teams.
