Dear Zimmer Biomet Team Members:
It is always important to stay alert for fraudulent email, and during the holiday season we see an increase in the frequency of these attacks. The IT team has received several reports of Zimmer Biomet Team Members receiving emails appearing to be from legitimate senders that contain links to fraudulent and malicious websites or that ask Team Members to take action such as transferring funds or revealing company or personal information.
If you receive one of these emails or similar messages, please do not respond to the email, click on any embedded links or take action on the request. If you are ever in doubt about the authenticity of an email that you receive, please forward it to the Security mailbox. IT Security monitors this mailbox at all times. If the message is indeed fraudulent we will take steps to disable the links and protect other impacted users. If you are copied on an email with multiple other individuals, please do not reply to all, as this merely fills the inboxes of others.
Unfortunately, these types of social engineering attacks will continue as individuals attempt to gain access to our Zimmer Biomet information. While the IT team will continue to improve our security posture, your assistance is needed in ensuring our electronic information assets are safeguarded from harm. As always, please feel free to go to IThelp.zimmerbiomet.com for immediate assistance.
Kind regards,
Edwina
