Dear Parents
This week was our demonstration week for All Aboard. Children continued to explore the concepts of trains, train stations, shapes and colors through concrete and sensory experiences that are familiar to them. We identified and sorted colors and shapes through fun scenarios like finding clothing scattered by a windstorm!
We began to explore 3D shapes and saw how round shapes roll, and then talked about shapes with edges and corners and how they can be stacked, but not rolled. We started our Community Project, we painted the outside of four boxes in red, blue, yellow and orange to make a train. Over the next weeks we are going to glue pictures and 3D objects in the corresponding cars.
