The empirical results of the logit model of incentive travel choice can be summarized as follows. The three statistically significant variables at the 5 % level are industry, corporate travel department, and size. The industry in which the corporation operates affects its choice of incentive travel, with service companies more likely to use incentive travel than nonservice companies. This may appear to contradict the result in the first part of the article; however, the industry classification was different in the two tests (dichotomous — service or nonservice — versus a four-way classification). This result is perhaps indicative of a change in the popularity of incentive travel in the service sector. Since the service sector in society is growing in comparison to the manufacturing sector, this bodes well for the future growth of incentive travel.
