Generally, there 3 categories of people in this world. The first group would be for those who have yet to acknowledge God in the life. The second group would be the majority who have accepted God in their lives and working daily to be a better child to Him. And the last group would be people who are already closely connected in Faith with our Heavenly Father.
For today's post, I would like to reach out mostly to the second group of people. It is known to all that the walk with God will never be a smooth one; one minute it can go right down to the bottom and the next you may find yourself right up at your peak. How God works is not for us to decipher. It is humanely impossible for any of us to know what God have planned for our lives from day one to the day we return back to Him. All we have to do is to trust that He is always for us and to constantly create a closely knitted relationship with Him daily.
So, one of the most common question that I have always been asked was "is it possible to take that walk with God and still commit mistakes in life?". This is a very good question to ask because firstly, the person is acknowledging that it is a mistake. And secondly, there is a part of him/her that is regretful of it and wants to put a stop to it. We all need to know that mistakes are intended to happen for us to grow. When we commit a mistake, turn to God for guidance on how to overcome and benefit from it. After overcoming a fall, our Faith in God will definitely grow and will prepare us for the next big test from Him. Do not let the enemy sell you the idea that by committing a mistake, God has cut you off from His life. He is our Father and He will always love each and everyone of us for all eternity. Therefore, the enemy is going to do everything to make you shun away from God in guilt and shame. So, if ever you have thoughts that feels this way, know that it is not from God.
Another trick that the enemy will use during this period is to make you believe that you should stop going to church and be in total isolation. This is where the danger begins. The enemy is trying to stop you from seeking God's help and you will eventually sink deeper into the hole. As you shun away from others too, there is no way that anyone else can help you out from the darkness. Actually, it should be the other way round. The more we are in darkness, the more we should be in places of Light. Hence, the more we are trying to overcome a mistake committed, the more we should pray and ask others to pray for us. Do not allow any alone time with the enemy. They are going to feed you with a bunch of self-condemnation thoughts that will make you feel unworthy to love God.
Only God will be able to free you from the hands of the enemy. All you have to do is to work closely with God on your struggles in life. Don't put a time to it. Let God show you in His perfect timing. Some people around you are going to judge you for what you have done. Don't mind them. This is your walk with God. And they too, have their own walk with God. If they can't be there to support you during your fall in your walk, leave them. Always remember that what you and God have, others will not understand and sometimes will even choose to not understand. It is alright. Most importantly, God is going to be with you.
I would like to take this time to pray for those out there who are struggling to be a good christian in a world full of temptations. Our Father, as I pray today, I pray that you give us, your beloved children, the strength and wisdom to overcome the attacks from the enemy. Open up our eyes and ears to know what is from you and what is not. Send other of your children to help those who have fallen and grow spiritually together. In Jesus name, I pray. Amen!
(share this after reading it because you might not know who around you might need it at this point of time.)
