The first mentions of Minvielledate from 1705. The castle, built around 1610, carries the name of its owner Philippe de Minvielle, a regiment captain. Taken over by the family in the early 19th century, the estate has been handed down through the generations, each putting its shoulders to the wheel to embellish and renovate both house and vineyard, making what is the Château Minvielle today. This wine combines tradition with a feminine touch.Minvielle was already a renowned wine when Louis XIV occupied the Château de Versailles. The traditions have been carried on through several generations of women while the first male – Pierre Michaud – is now leaning on the history to produce a modern wine deeply rooted in its traditions.
