Most Pittsburgh-region publicly traded companies finished Friday's trading session slightly up.
The Dow Jones industrial average ended the short holiday week up 172.79 to 13,009.68. The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 were each up 1.3 percent.
Fab Universal (NYSE MKT: FU) stock rose 5.8 percent — 14 cents — in trading Friday to $2.57 a share.
Fab Universal, which was formerly known as Wizzard Software, was one of the top gainers on the New York Stock Exchange during a holiday-shortened trading session.
