Another type of biocomposite film was developed by Wang et al. [247], by the combination of protein extracted from buckwheat distiller’s dried grains and BC. High compatibility and rigidity was showed in the films by the addition of BC. FTIR and viscosity analysis proved the interaction of both protein and BC through hydrogen bonds, thus affecting negatively some film characteristicssuch as moisture content, water solubility, and water vapor permeability. However, tensile strength increased from 4.26 MPa in pure protein films to 14.98 MPa in films containing 1.8% BC.
