8.3.6 Limiting broadcasts
Some devices are designed not to connect but to broadcast data for other devices to hear. In some advertising applications, they also attempt to make a connection to a device and push data to it. This normally requires the user to opt into the service and set an appropriate
security level.
For this type of application, it is advisable for the broadcast device to keep a list of device addresses it has managed to connect to, so that it does not send multiple messages to the same device.
Where multiple broadcasters are deployed in one location, consideration should be given to networking them and sharing this database of previously paired devices to limit the degree of customer disturbance.
