This is the best shoe I've ever had

This is the best shoe I've ever had and I'm not exaggerating. Not only does it look great but when I tried it on for the first time it felt like I was putting on boots that I'd worn for years and had broken in to fit the exact shape of my foot. It's like a full wrap around pillow for my foot, with the look of a dress boot! This boot seems to run a little large. Normally I wear a 10.5-11, never a 10. The first time I ordered these (I bought two pairs) I ordered an 11, and that's what I thought they sent me. I didn't notice that I was sent a size 10 by accident because the fit was immediately perfect. I only realized it later because I ordered another pair and ordered 11 again. This time I received an 11 and then noticed that they were much larger than my first pair. Sent them back and got the size 10. The leather is very soft and conforms quite well to your foot so you don't need a lot of extra room. If the leather was a little stiffer then I could see needing a larger size.

The soles are soft which means they will probably wear out faster than other boots, but for me it's worth it. I wore these, brand new, for a week in Paris, doing a lot of walking, and not once were my feet sore, tired, or have any blisters. The reason I bought a second pair is so I can keep my original pair more for casual use, and the new pair to use only with my suit. The shoe laces did seem to fade rather quickly, but I fixed mine up with a Kiwi brown sponge color applicator. I think it was meant as a scuff cover or polish, but I just dabbed the whole lace with this and they got a nice deep color back again, and also almost a stiff waxy texture which I kind of like.
