However,the new ELM learning algorithm can achieve the averagetesting rate 77.57% with 20 nodes, which is obviouslyhigher than all the results so far reported in the literatureusing various popular algorithms such as SVM [20],SAOCIF [21], Cascade-Correlation algorithm [21], baggingand boosting methods [5], C4.5 [5], and RBF [25] (cf.Table 9). BP algorithm performs very poor in oursimulations for this case. It can also be seen that theELM learning algorithm run around 300 times faster thanBP, and 15 times faster than SVM for this small problemwithout considering that C executable environment mayrun much faster than MATLAB environment.
