In this study, we have also investigated the Route-ii5, a different process as Route-i, by reversing the feeding sequence of L
POPE and HAuCl4 aqueous solution. According to the structural characterizations, the HAAA
NUs obtained via Route-i show ultrahigh density of sharp tips in sub-100 nm in size. While, by
means of Route-ii, the multiple tips may not be formed at sub-100 nm scale, and the
nanoparticles display a “meatball-like” morphology.
