Status and need for documentationIt is acknowledged that there is an urgent need to document the effects of the newly developed Neurac method. Specifically, there is a need for randomized controlled trials for patients with long-term musculoskeletal disorders. Furthermore, there is a need for studies that investigate the underlying mechanisms of this form of treatment and training, both with and without different types of vibration. There is also a need for cost-benefit studies. A mechanism study on the Neurac method has recently been conducted in Denmark. The study, which is presently under publication, examined the short-term effects of Neurac with vibration treatment on cervical muscle activation and neuromuscular control in women with long-term neck pain.
