This study demonstrates the importance of a multi-dimen- sional approach when identifying talent in junior AF. The results firstly indicated that the majority of the talent identi- fied players outperformed their non-talent identified counter- parts in physical, technical and perceptual-cognitive performance outcome tests. Secondly, the discrimination pro- vided by the multi-dimensional assessment approach was more comprehensive than what had previously been reported in the literature. The multi-dimensional test battery described in this study may provide coaches and talent recruiters in AF with an initial means in which to inform TID.
