Several studies are available on properties and applications of dispersing agents in the dyeing of hydrophobic fibers with disperse dyes.[14,15] The dissolution of disperse dyes in the presence of surfactants and interactions between the dye and the surfactant via spectrophotometric methods have been studied previously.[16–18] Different types of anionic and nonionic surfactants have been utilized in this regard.[19,20] The solubilization data and concentration effectiveness of surfactants provide useful information for dye dispersions preparing in aqueous solution and dyeing hydrophobic fibers. Suitable dispersions and dye solubility are necessary factors for the homogeneous adsorption of disperse dyes onto substrates.
