Dear Parents,

With the close of the first semester, we had some time to look back at the fall's many accomplishments and to look forward to the traditions and activities coming in the months ahead.

As you know, the year has already been a busy one, with much on our plate, including new construction and strategic thinking for the years ahead, while continuing to deliver an extraordinary education to more than 200 students. From Opening Assembly through end of semester exams, we have seen great work from the girls in the classrooms, at their Horizons sites, on their teams, and in the arts - and we have shared many of their accomplishments with you along the way. I am certain there will be many more. Best to all in the weeks ahead.

Construction Update
The campus expansion is moving right along! The residence hall is nearly enclosed and the academic building, Linn Hall, is taking shape. With Linn Hall's foundation ready in January, a large crane arrived on campus to erect steel. Our students even "signed off" on the project, lending their signatures to a beam included in the structure. What's next? Interior work will continue in the residential building through the spring. By April, masonry will begin, followed soon by exterior finishes. Interior work in Linn Hall is scheduled to begin in late March, with masonry to follow in May and June.

Strategic Design Update
The important work of strategic design has entered its next phase. You may recall that in September we launched the process, guided by Greenwich Leadership Partners. Through November and December, we held many conversations, in small and large groups, to identify key questions and themes. A Strategic Design Team of faculty, staff, and students is now charged with several responsibilities to move forward: "workshopping" key issues and questions with colleagues and classmates; gathering feedback; and editing early drafts to prepare for larger audiences. This work will continue through the spring.
