Here we study a problem on "Candle Powered Turbine" of a paper spiral suspendedfrom a candle that starts to rotate, optimizing the settings to obtain the maximum torque. In thisstudy, the paper spiral is in a common non-isothermal flow field. Using experiments and theCOMSOL Multiphysics field simulation software, we studied the torque of the paper spiral undervarious conditions. Then we used the cubic spline interpolation method to complete the discretesimulation and experimental data. The value of the average torque of this paper spiral at differentinlet flow positions and with different numbers of turns was obtained. Our calculations alsodemonstrate that the torque probe graph of the paper spiral presents fluctuation and the wave peakwidth becomes narrower with time.
