Carton Markings
•The vendor must comply with all Federal and State shipping, documenting and labeling regulations for packaging and shipping consumer commodities. This includes, but is not limited to, warning labels, food labeling, and dangerous goods requirements.
•Regulatory, Directional, and Pictorial Markings Examples: Flammable, This Side Up, No Knife, Heavy, etc.
Shipping Carton Label
•Vendors are required to use L.L. Bean approved GS1-EAN 128 bardode shipping labels, appied to each carton for Direct to Store shipments.
•All shipping labels must be pre-approved by the Packaging Specialist. The Carton label is the vendor's responsibility and not supplied by L.L.Bean. Thsi label must be pre approved by sending a sample to the L.L.Bean Packaging Specialists prior to shipping inventory.
•Complete all sections of the shippping label to accurately reflect exactly what is packed in each carton based on your purchase order and product assortment. Product scenarios described but not limited to examples below.
