Accordingly, during the set of experiments carried out in the present work, the weight analyses not only showed a relatively high coefficient of determination (R2 = 0.836) but also showed standard errors as high as 1.3 kg and 4.1 kg for animals at 40 and 80 days, respectively (Fig. 4).
Such errors, corresponding to absolute deviations as high as 45% from the reference weight linear model, are unacceptably high for proper animal mass monitoring.
