Real-time acquisition of dynamic environments:
The modelling of dynamic environments, i.e. environments in which there are many moving objects (e.g., crowded rooms) or environments in which space reforms (e.g., industrial plants) is presently done off-line. The challenge is to do this in real-time and on mobile devices.
An extension of this problem is the detection and measurement of changes in space and the real-time updating of previously acquired models.
