1. You must have an image that is large enough to crop out a 600x600 pixel area around the head.
2. Click on the “Choose Photo” button to browse for your image.
3. If the image is rotated, click on the rotate arrows so that the head is vertical.
4. Left-click and drag the image into alignment with the guidance overlay.
5. Use the zoom slider control to size the head so that the area from the chin to the crown lies between the inner and outer ovals.
6. Click on the “Crop Photo” button to crop the area inside the guidance box. A large preview of the resulting cropped image will then be displayed. This window can be closed by clicking on the X in the top right corner of the window.
7. If satisfied with the cropped image, click on the “Save Photo” button to save the cropped image to your computer. Remember where you saved the image, because you will need to upload it when you return to the Application Form. If dissatisfied with the cropped image, you may close the preview and continue to reposition the image, or click “Choose Photo” to select a different photo.
