本三维动画短片《退屋还林》以科幻的形式描述了人类砍伐森林，破坏自然环境生长规律，肆意掠夺自然资源来建造高楼大厦，导致了环境变得恶劣，自然灾害接踵而至，狂风暴雨，海啸泥石流不断冲击着人类世界，人们的家园受到了严重的破坏。由于受灾严重，由大自然孕育出的“森林精灵”出现了，它运用法力让被掠夺作为建筑用品的自然资源重新变回到了森林。我们想通过这个动画短片来告诫人，青山不老绿为本，绿水长流林是源。大自然与我们的生活息息相关，人类生活离不开大自然，大自然同样也需要人类的爱护。肆意的破坏大自然将会受到应有的惩罚。因此，我们呼吁大家能一起来保护大自然保护我们的家。
我们运用3Dmax来制作，初期的建模贴材质以及中期的场景拜访和镜头已经人物动物的动作是我们的主要工作，因此我们需要先收集好资料。通过这次的制作也能检验出我对平时所学知识的理解程度，并能及时发现问题及时解决问题。
