Next, measure the deflection of the end of the rotor shaft using a dial gauge.
Deflection of 0.05mm or more indicates the inclusion of foreign matter on the contact surfaces of the impeller,sleeve,thrust collar,and/or rotor shaft,causing inclination of the rotor shaft.
Remove the impeller again, and confirm the above-noted contact surfaces.
Re-measure the deflection of the end of the rotor shaft prior to fastening the impeller.
