Stakeholders included in the interviews were salvage agents, dismantlers, repair centres, insurers, industry support firms and policy holders. Interviewing two participants from each stage of the supply chain reduced the potential of respondent bias impacting on the findings. All
interviews were tape-recorded, transcribed and coded (see below). Findings from the
research were presented to the participants of the RL systems to allow the organisations
to challenge or agree the conclusions
