Heuristic evaluation, targeting originally usability evaluation, is an informal analysis method where several evaluators are asked to comment on the target design based on pre- defined heuristics/principles [11,29]. It aims at finding the usability problems during the iterative design process so that such problems can be addressed before software products releasing [30]. Despite the rapid development of the video game industry, the methodolo- gies for evaluating game quality and player experience are still limited. Therein, heuristic evaluation is still an effective way of evaluating games compared to other methods for being cheap and fast [31].
