案例教学在高中教学中早已不是新事物，但就高中地理的案例教学而言还有很多需要进一步改进的地方，如案例教学的理论根基不够扎实、案例教学的目标设计不清晰、案例素材的选取不够恰当、案例教学的实施过程环节不清晰等问题。
高中阶段的地理课程早已不是单纯传授地理知识的课程了。新课程改革对高中地理课程功能、目标有了更明确的定位：要为现代公民提供必备的地理知识，提升公民的地理素养；引领学生用地理的眼观看世界，关注我们的生存和发展环境；勇于探索地理新问题等，真正将地理思想内化为自身的地理素养。例如《普通高中地理课程标准（实验）》在过程与方法这一课程目标中明确说明:尝试从学习和生活中发现地理问题，提出探究方案，与他人合作，开展调查研究，提出解决问题的对策。为了落实课标提出的要求，教师必须首先解决好教学理念层面的问题，不断的改变关于地理教学的相关理论认识，进而指导教学实践。倡导选用生活中的事件为素材进行高中地理教学是具有实际意义的，增长了学生的见识，拓宽了视野，激活了学生的地理思维，切实将新课程的理念贯穿于教学实践中。
但有关高中地理案例教学的相关理论研究较少，即使有一些研究成果也是零散的，系统性不强，缺少具有针对性、指导性、理论性和实践性的相关研究成果。所以本文希望可以完善高中地理案例教学的相关理论，进一步促进案例教学能够发挥地理课程的功能。

For example the high school geography curriculum standards (experimental) process and method of the course objectives clear: try to find geographic learning and life issues, proposed research programmes, cooperation with others, to conduct research, propose measures to solve the problem. In order to implement the curriculum demands, teachers must first solve the problem of teaching ideas, constantly changing geography teaching theory of knowledge, and to guide teaching practice. Advocacy material from the original selection of events in the life of the high school geography teaching is of practical significance, increase student knowledge, broadens the horizons, activating students ' geographic thinking and concept of the new curriculum in teaching practice.But the theory research of case teaching of geography, is scattered even some research results, system performance is not strong, the lack of targeted, direct research, theory and practice. So this article can improve the theory of geography case teaching, further promoting case teaching to play a geography course features.
