Racial discrimination was severe in the United States at that time, and the Green Paper was a guide for black people. Dr. Shirley is an African American pianist. he persists on tour even though that racial discrimination in the south of America is very serious, showing that Dr.Shirley is brave to break through his comfort zone and use action to influence public perception. This is also actually the reason why I chose it, because the film gives me a resonance of courage, and its expression in the form of comedy makes it easier for me to understand the truth, and it is more fresh to me. we should cherish courage. as a new immigrant,I had cared about the different views about me of my classmates . I wanted to close with them but I failed to take the first step actively. So I missed many opportunities at that time because of cowardice ,such as communicating, learning from each other, and participating in activities. I was inspired by a word in this movie,Being genius was not enough , it take courage to changes people ‘s hearts. Thus sometime the so-called be alone is just an excuse to stay in the comfort zone and evading of challenges. And courage is an important factor for breaking through myself. Maybe it able me to try more possibilities and gain different experiences. Maybe it can change people's wrong ideas. So never be afraid to take the first step forever.
