Jake Sturmer – 2012 Walkley Young Australian Journalist of the Year award in the television category
Sonya Pemberton – Won the Outstanding Science and Technology Programming category at the News and Documentary Emmy Awards in New York
Dr Richard Forno – Awarded as Junior Affiliate Scholar status (2012-2014) at Stanford Law School's Centre for Internet and Society
Richelle Doney – Textile & Surface Design (Interiors) award at the 2012 Melbourne Design Awards
Michelle Charlton – This year's Western Australian Social Worker of the Year (2012)
David Erceg-Hurn – Named the 2012 Western Australian Student Scientist of the Year
Emeritus Professor Jo Barker – Won one of Curtin's highest recognitions, the John Curtin Medal for 2012
Bay Yeo – Recognised as the WA Young Professional of the Year 2012

The sporting achievements of Curtin students and alumni shone brightly at this year's Curtin University Sports awards 2012. On Thursday 22 November the Curtin Stadium welcomed distinguished guests such as Olympian Jesse Phillips and Deputy Vice Chancellor Education, Professor Jill Downie. Read more.
