Depletion affects both the matrix and fracture flow properties because the unbalanced overburden stress leads to rock compaction, which influences matrix and fracture permeability. The effective permeability of the matrix and fracture regions could potentially be drastically damaged due to pressure depletion. This damage can be captured in reservoir simulation by using a compaction curve that includes pressure- dependent transmissibility multipliers. Hydraulic fracture also are generally categorized into propped and unpropped because these sections react differently to rock compaction. For the purposes of this study, the unpropped region could be ignored because the main area of study is the condensate bank within the propped fracture region.
