That's his bowl
Tom was a young office clerk of an international trade company. He lived in the suburbs of the city and drove to his office every day.
The clock rang and it woke Tom up one early morning. He turned on the light and had a look at the clock. It was five. He looked out of the window. It was dark outside. But he hoped to get to the next place of interest by lunch time. He got up at once. After a quick breakfast, the young man started. There was little traffic on the road and he drove quite fast.
The sun rose in the east and it got hotter. Now the young man was driving through a bigger town. Most people hurried to work and there were a lot of cars and buses in the
street. He had to drive slowly. And after he came out of the city, he began to quicker. At that moment something was wrong with his car and he had to stop. He got off and found one of the tires was shriveled. It took him about an hour to mend it in the sun and he felt very thirsty after that. He saw there was a small house not far from the road and went to ask something to drink. An old woman in the house told him to come in and gave him a bowl of soup. A little dog went up to him and looked at him carefully.
"I've never seen a dog so friendly as yours, madam." said Tom.
"Ah," the old woman said." he's not that friendly. That's his bowl you are using."
