An international transaction fee ap

An international transaction fee applies to all purchases, cash advances or transactions that are converted, from foreign currencies to the Australian dollar, or where a transaction is made in Australian dollars but the merchant accepting the card is overseas.

The conversion fee for these transactions are:

MasterCard® and Visa - 3.00%
American Express® - 2.00% (plus a currency conversion factor of 1.50% which is included in the converted transaction amount).
Transactions made overseas but in Australian dollars - 3.00%.
Depending on your needs, you may want to consider using our Travel Money Card to avoid the international transaction fee.
