In literature [17], Japel et al. argued the important role of d-shell electrons on transition metal melting. In this study, ε-Fe and copper have different electron configurations, 3d64s2 and the full-filledd electron 3d104s1, respectively. It suggests that the melting curves of these two metals should have the various forms. However, this approach still does not clearly point out this difference. Consequently, to describe exactly high-pressure melting curves, the building theory needs to pay attention to electronic properties of metals. For all that, this Lindemann's melting criterion approach can be used to predict Tm values of ε-Fe and Cu as well as other metals in high pressure range.
