Linalool oxide (Sigma-Aldrich, Brazil) was diluted with polyoxyethylene sorbitan monooleate (Tween 80 0.2% v/v in distilled water, VETEC, Brazil) to prepare linalool oxide emulsions (0.65%, 1.25%, 2.5% and 5.0%) minutes prior to the experiments. Diazepam (Merck, Brazil) was dissolved in saline solution and used as a positive control (0.5 mg/kg or 2 mg/kg).
